Reminiscient of the age of cloaks and swords in the 15th Century, Château de Boisson is the perfect setting for a wonderful holiday. This ‘Castels’ campsite is nestled in a small village of the Gard, near the Cévennes mountains, the Ardèche, and Provence. Why not come and enjoy an unforgettable holiday experience?
Château de Boisson has the unmistakeable style of Cevennes and Ardeches mansion-houses: elegantly restored stone work stands out on the archways and porches. For centuries, the “bastide” (country house) was both a stately home and a farm. Silkworms in particular were bred here to supply the silk manufacturers in Lyon. As a remnant of this industry there are several magnificent mulberry trees that shade the courtyard and spread throughout the campsite are majestic cedar trees delivering precious shade for the campers.
Situated on the slope of the hill and in the heart of a scenic village, the campsite was developed on three main levels. The pitches have been developed right across the 8 hectare site in order to provide a maximum of privacy for each one.
Gîtes (apartments) are also available for rental inside the castle itself.
